What else is blogosphere talking about? Here are some things that caught our eyes:

  • There’s a rather lively debate on the number of men of color cast in main California gay porn productions. Victor Hoff at his excellent MOC blog makes his case here. Interestingly, the folks over at Unzipped take issue with his numbers over here.

We at Friskynews.org almost never discuss politics. However we’ll take this opportunity to note that Hoff’s observation on the paucity of men of color is restricted to recent Internet companies. These practices go back way before the major web sites he refers to even opened for business. Also, be careful: Numbers and statistics can be misleading, which is why Unzipped criticized Hoff as employing affirmative action-style numbers to his analysis.

    Moving right along…

  • Tis’ the Halloween season: Lavender Lounge has photos depicting Pre-Halloween Pumpkin Butt Painting You know, we were surprised that Lavender Lounge did not blog anything about the passing of Soupy Sales.
  • Dewayne in San Diego has an insightful interview with the owner of OTB Video about the very troubling subject: Will Piracy Kill the Video Porn Star? [Our answer - only as long as Google and other search engines prominently enable people to find pirated movies.]
  • J.C. Adams catches up with Blue Blake. [Ah, we have fond memories of movies like Cowboy Rides Again]
  • GayPornBlog has posted a nice photo set from this year’s Folsum Street Fair.
  • Is Mason Wyler channeling Kanye West’s Weltanshauung in his October blog post, Heartless?
