GayVN Award Nominations Announced, Tastes Just Like Chicken

The 2010 GayVN Awards were announced today on the avn.com website to much fanfare. (GayVN 2010 awards nomination list here) The show, which has been delayed for months, will transpire on September 24, 2010 at the Castro Theatre in San Francisco.

Almost immediately blogs have noted the numerous bizarre choices and glaring omissions, such as TheSword.com. To us the most notable change was the elimination of technical awards such as Best Music, Best Screenplay, Best Editing. Is this yet another unfortunate indicator of the dramatic reduction of such niceties in the tumultuous gay adult industry.
